Niche Ranks NPHS 15 in State for Best Public High School Sports

The North Penn School District is proud to share that North Penn High School (NPHS) has recently been ranked number 15 in the 2019 Best Public High School Sports in Pennsylvania by Niche in accordance to their ranking system.

Niche's ranking is based on data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and parents. Factors include parent/student surveys on sports (50% weight), total high school enrollment (20% weight), K12 sports championships (10% weight), number of sports (10% weight), boys athletic participation (5% weight) and girls athletic participation (5% weight). Sources for this information include self reports from Niche users, National Center for Education Statistics, Wikipedia and Civil Rights Data Collection.

The same methodology is used to produce the Sports Grade for each ranked school as well as additional schools. Statistics obtained from the U.S. Department of Education represent the most recent data available, as self-reported by the schools. Niche also collects data directly from schools via their school data update form.

NPHS ranked 15 of 982 in Pennsylvania and 378 of 24,014 in America of 2019 Best Public High School Sports. To view a full list of NPHS' rankings on Niche, click here.

" To have North Penn High School's athletic program recognized as one of the top one percent of athletic programs in the state and country is an honor to all those who have participated and supported the program since its inception," said Bill Bartle, NPHS Athletic Director. " Even more rewarding is the fact that the number of championships has less to do with the ranking, compared to the number of opportunities available to the entire student body and participation."
